Medical Technology Associates (MTA) has acquired Cal-Tec Labs, a calibration lab based in Pittsburgh. MTA, a provider of testing, inspection, certification, and calibration services, aims to strengthen its calibration service offerings by adding CTL to its portfolio. Cal-Tec Labs, originally known as Quality Techniques, was purchased by brothers George and Jon Urban in 2007 from their father. The Urban brothers and the CTL team will continue in their current roles under MTA.

This acquisition marks MTA’s fifth since January 2023, with previous acquisitions including Energy Plus in Harrisburg, Premier Medical in Tennessee, Air Filtration Management in Pennsylvania, and MicronPA in York. This strategic move by MTA expands its capabilities into additional industries and enhances its overall service offerings.
