The packaging uses Aptar’s 3-Phase Activ-Polymer platform technology to reduce the moisture level in the packaging headspace, making it ideal for products that require optimal moisture control, such as live culture probiotics and hygroscopic powdery food products. The packaging offers several benefits, including removing the need for desiccant packets, enhancing product quality and texture by preventing clumping, and extending shelf life. In addition, the packaging not only absorbs excess moisture in the packaging headspace but also protects the contents from moisture exposure that usually occurs when moisture molecules pass through the packaging. ProAmpac and Aptar CSP Technologies hope to revolutionize active packaging with this collaboration.
